Thomas Street Studios: Cleanse, Tone Moisturise

Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise

If you're going to wear make up you really need to make washing it off each evening a priority. Many women after a long day haven't got the energy and just leave it on. Make up clogs the pores when left on and results in blotchy skin or blackheads when done regularly. When this happens the common temptation is to add more make up to cover the problems, creating a vicious circle in which the skin problems will get worse. Here are some tips from Thomas Street Studios.

As we said, make up blocks the pores and needs to be cleaned off. Cleansing removes it and also the sweat and pollution from the day. Remove mascara using a cotton bud dipped in cleansing lotion. Eye shadow comes off best with a cotton wool pad. Using your fingers, massage face wash around your nose and cheeks. The chin area is particularly prone to black heads so pay special attention there. Once your make up has all come off, rinse well with water, tone with a cotton pad to get rid of any dirt or soap left on and finally moisturise. Moisturiser stops the drying effects of water and locks moisture into the skin over night.
